I started out DIY, finished with Phiang Aldrich. The BEST decision I made (to hire her), for one of the most difficult decisions of my life (to get divorced). She always communicated quickly, gave me options for my questions/needs, and never pushed me. I set the timeline when I was ready to move forward. Phiang Aldrich helped me when I had to transfer my child custody/child support case from Indiana to Texas. She was always on the ball and in constant contact. I never had to wait long to hear back from Phiang, whether she was answering a question I had, sharing information regarding a scheduled mediation or court date, or letting me know she had checked in with the Office of the Attorney General regarding child support. I love her portal which allows easy communication. I also appreciated that she is her only staff member--I never had to explain to someone unfamiliar with my case why I was calling. I highly recommend Ms. Aldrich, who assisted my family with a Child Protective Services (CPS) adoption case from December 2021 until February 2023. Ms. Aldrich, right from the beginning, listened. She applied her professional knowledge, in order to advocate, and never stopped. Without her, we would have been lost. We are the happy parents of a thriving 14 month old baby boy who has been in our care since his birth. Navigating the TDFPS system is a challenge, to say the least. The birth parents were provided court appointed attorneys, as was the baby. CPS, of course, has their attorney. As a kinship placement, we were expected to jump hoops and be at the beck and call of "the system".
