Meet Phiang Aldrich
I am a dedicated attorney with extensive experience in various areas of law. My journey began at Iowa State University (ISU) in Ames, Iowa, where I earned my undergraduate degree. From there, I pursued my passion for law and obtained my law degree from Washburn School of Law (Washburn) in Topeka, Kansas in 1999. During my time at Washburn, I had the privilege of working as a civil intern with the United States Attorney’s Office and as a juvenile and Child in Need of Care prosecutor intern with the Lyon County Prosecutor’s Office, which provided me with valuable practical experience.
Following my admission to the Kansas bar, I commenced my legal career as a domestic violence prosecutor in Kansas City, Kansas. In this role, I diligently prosecuted cases related to domestic violence and other related crimes. Additionally, I gained valuable expertise in handling misdemeanor crimes and traffic violations during my three-year tenure in this position.
However, my journey took an exciting turn as my husband pursued his education and military obligations, leading us to traverse six different states. Throughout this time, I continued to enhance my legal skills and experience. Prior to settling in Texas in 2012, I served as a staff attorney with the Michigan Domestic Violence Prevention and Treatment Board, collaborating with state partners to combat domestic and sexual violence within Michigan.
Following my time serving with the Michigan Domestic Violence Prevention and Treatment Board, my husband’s military obligations led us to relocate to Missouri. While stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, I seized the opportunity to establish my own law firm and operated as a sole practitioner, specializing primarily in family law cases. Concurrently, I actively served as a guardian ad litem and CASA (Court-Appointed Special Advocate) volunteer, advocating tirelessly for the welfare of children and families in need of care.
After our stay in Missouri, we were once again on the move due to my husband’s duty station. Our next stop was Fort Benning, Georgia, where we resided for ten months. During this period, I continued to hone my legal skills and expand my professional network, preparing myself for the next chapter of our journey.
Finally, we found our place to call home in the vibrant state of Texas, where we settled with our three children. I am currently licensed to practice law in Texas and Missouri (2009, inactive member). Although I have recently resigned my Kansas and Colorado bar memberships, I remain an active member of the Texas State Bar, Comal County Bar, and Hays County Bar. Additionally, I take immense pride in my past role as the president of the Comal County Bar Association.
With a wealth of legal experience and an unwavering commitment to providing compassionate and effective representation, I am dedicated to assisting clients in navigating complex legal matters with the utmost professionalism and care.
